met up with bridesmaid/long time best friend at carousel mall! i want to get some christmas shopping done for mark but that failed. i walked out empty-handed, but jenny and i got to catch up on so much wedding stuff and at one point i was overwhelmed with excitement that it literally took my breath away. on the drive home blasting taylor swift (what else?) i thought of an idea for the reception..but i’m not sure if it’ll work..hopefully, if mark and i plan it. ohhh excitement :)
:):)
i just scheduled a trial-run for my bridal makeup with pauline braun :) i am also going to schedule a trial run for my hair…i really like my hair at the length it is right now. but, i want to keep growing it out. so, i am going to try to find a style i like at this length. when it’s longer, if i don’t like how it looks styled then, i know i can just cut it back to a length that will look fabulous. :) i just need to find a decently priced hair-stylist now…
cartel version of wonderwall just started playing on my pandora station. so excited for ashley and mark’s wedding. happy 5 year|5 months to them today! :)
this is it! just what AB was talking about. GO CUSE! heh.
The Syracuse picture we all wanted to see! YAY!
i am so happy i was able to see this in person! i was walking home from class when i saw a group of people ahead with signs…what’s great about this is how impromptu/spontaneous the protest was. one guy showed up to protest alongside the protester in front of newhouse (where i go to grad school) and then other people showed up. some brought paper and markers for others to make signs. others brough coffee to keep the students warm. from what i hear, upward of 50 people showed up at the height of the protest. there were approximately 30 there when i walked by at 4pm, and friends called me at 6 and there were even more people there. i am sad i missed it, but i had been up for 24 hours writing a paper, and i headed straight home and slept.
the dining room all set for thanksgiving dinner. please note the white hydrangeas…they will be making a pretty significant appearance at our wedding :)
i just had a fabulous thanksgiving with jason. i picked him up at the airport at 4 on wednesday and i dropped him off there at 3:30 on sunday. it was fabulous to be together, and i finally got to show him a bunch of the wedding elements. wednesday night we went to one of my favorite restaurants, the gate house, and had a yummy meal.
thanksgiving day was great. it was the first time the entire family has been together…chris and jade, matt & wendy (with her wonderfully pregnant tummy—only 4 more months til my niece is here!), my parents, and me and jason…and meghan! matt and wendy divulged the name that they selected for their baby…and i am super excited! it’s pretty fabulous!
after dinner and some rest, we played guesstures which was a ton of fun. we played guys v. girls and unfortunately the girls got crushed every time. afterward, jason said to me “wow, i totally see why you’re so competitive now.”
jason and i watched definitely, maybe which we both enjoyed. and we watched star trek, which i was seeing for the first time. i LOVED it! so excited for jj abrams to come out with another one. we also got a bit further into house season 3 and on black friday i bought house season 4 and supernatural season 2 for $13 each.
on saturday we went to the inn on broadway for our menu tasting. we really, really liked 4 out of the 6 appetizers we tried, the soup so SO good, the salad was fabulous, and i loved the veggie entree selection. i was told that the fish selection was delicious, but my parents and jason were so-so on the chicken selection. so, we’re going to pick something else. and they didn’t try the beef, but we’re not concerned about that.
uhmm…jason got a new phone. i seriously think he got his previous one six months into dating me. soo, that phone was 4 years old and had been through two washing cycles. he’s very excited about his new lg versa and i’m excited about unlimited texting to each other :) i love getting cute little texts from him throughout the day when we don’t have enough time to talk on the phone.
it was really sad saying goodbye to him at the airport yesterday. but, it’s not as bad as it has been in the past…only 2.5 weeks until i see him again. at his graduation! i am so, so proud of everything he has accomplished over the past 2 years and i am so happy that i can be there to see him get his bachelor’s diploma.
